Tony Finazzo has a new series on bird DVDs that cover complete bird mount from skinning to finishing. The series includes diver and puddle ducks, both standing and flying as well as upland birds. He really has some great time saving methods. They are available at www.kastaway.com

I bought that DVD of the Puddle Duck and am sending it back to Rineheart.  The video was poor quality and you couldnt see a lot of detail...not to mention it was scratched when it arrived......are there any better videos out there? or do they just give you a basic tutorial so youll go to their schools?

videos help some but none are going to be able to cover it all. I would buy or barrow all the stuff you can to begin with and learn as much as possible. Bottom line is its gonna cost you something to learn even if its just time. Dig into the archives here as well to see what you can find out.
