Just got back...learned a lot, visited with many friends, saw some awesome work...but the most thrilling event to me was to see the work of 14 year old Jordan Walls of Dechard, TN. He mounted these four turkeys...two blue ribbons, two red ribbons, and a Peoples Choice Award for his display. I think it is GREAT that a 14 year old has enough interest in taxidermy to develop the skills to do this quality of work. I told him that I was going to post this on Taxidermy.net. I do not think that Jordan is a member, and he told me he does not have much interest in computers. Regardless, I think he deserves recognition for his talent at such an early age. Congratulations Jordan!!!

Did you see the Turkey hanging on the very end wall (walking in all the way to the rear)? That was his as well and it actually scored the highest of his 5 birds.

Its rare and nice that a family will help and stand behind a young man anymore. I often think that when I see Nina's post. Its good that they go to the shows and stuff with them. Nice turkey work...
