"I shoot a Mathews, cause I dont wanna Hoyt them"

« on: August 25, 2008, 09:27:24 PM »

I figure maybe I should just wipe it down with acetone before closing but I dont know the dangers of that, and it is becoming an issue.

Basically one part of the two part substance, after I use it, I close the can, and if it is anything more than a few days before opening it back up, I have to put a pipe wrench on the cap to open it.  It is a pain in the you know what too.  So how do you keep the lids from sealing up and being so hard to open. Thanks in advance,

Put saran wrap on it then screw the lid on.   You can also wipe the inside of the lid and spout with a dry paper towel screw your lid on.

IF you aren't using much at a time & doing small pours, try using a turkey baster-you know, the kind with the "squeeze" bulb on top. The sides of the tube are already marked for ounce measurements...and then too,if your ARE in it pretty often, the bulb lightly seals the can opening & can be left in it.
I cut a piece of plywood -big enough to set 2 solo cups on it(I wrapped the cups in plastic so they would release from the foam). Then I made a small pour to form a resting station/anchor for my "drain cups" to rest the basters in while I do larger pours. Since the cups can be replaced it is easy to clean up.
