I was told to spray them with hair spray. Seems to work. My wife did it years ago and we still have them in the house.

They also make quasi-decent artificial ones. If you want the real, pick them green, do the hair spray trick, let them dry. Good luck.

Use the fake ones, there are some out now that are decent. It's better than risking them falling apart in your customers house. Also in the Breakthrough Habiata Manual there are directions for making your own. I haven't tried it but it looks easy enough.

You would ask, LOL. I can't remember right now, probably Hobby Lobby or Michaels, that's where I buy most of my foliage. Some of that stuff is kinda seasonal though.

I bought some real pencil cattails from Hide and Beak Supply Compamy several years ago. They have held up fairly well.
I just went to their website and they're going out of business!! I didn't know that.

Thank ya sunshine...
The only fake ones I've seen are pieces of chitola.
I've thought about using a hypodermic needle to get glue on the inside of the tail where the fuzz attaches to the stem...but that's a lot of work...maybe in my "free" time I'll give it a go.
