WOW I just looked at those.

Pardon me for saying but
WHAT A CROCK!!!!

Yet another way for customers to avoid a taxidermist all together.
Granted they look like crap, but still.

YAY! Taxidermy companies doing everything they can to turn taxidermy into a turn key profession.

AND THIS! is why I dont order from these companies if I can help it. Id rather give my money to the fiberglass resin suppliers and the chemical and material company's directly.

Oh yes

perhaps not, but it may effect others, and for a company to do that is a low blow.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

I'm love to see most of us are on the same page with these "drive thru"  "Wal-Mart" commercial companies. You'd be suprised at how many customers out there will settle for that crap to save a couple of dimes.

They are archies repros. I guess the way to look at them is that from ten feet away they still look like fish.

Its up to you how you paint them. Sure not as goos as a custom cast but so far nothing out there that don't need lots of work off the shelf.

I just received another OH so fricken great ARP fish and its right in there with Archies, I tell you on the ARP fish its a true POS! I will post pics and the number so noone gets screwed ordering it.

I liked the new Arp bass at first. The idea of the gills & all were cool but after using about five of them I notice the scale detail was starting to get a little crapty. Most of the poses are well "poses". Some of the not so open mouth ones are the ones I like. They tend to look a little fishier than the "Hey look at me with my mouth wide open" ones.

I tend to agree with John on this one.  Used to be Archie's were among the best.  He tried to give a LOT of selection to the taxidermy Trade.

Has he been surpassed , sure but they are still usable if you have the ability.  Looks good John.

As far as Van Dykes offering them pre-done.  I HATE it.  One the crappy job will make people more LEERY about repros when they buy one.....and it will make others try and DICKER for price.  Oh well.
