It's 39 lbs. and in good condition. Nice fat fish. My client has heard of the possibilty of getting a free replica by someone interested in making a mold. I told him I'd check into it. Not that this makes much difference but, it's a spotted musky from the great lakes.

we could do it for you, but not for free! Client needs to know that there is nothing for free. 361-758-7878

That might be true if there is no repo on the market that size.  BUT there are lots of musky repos out there, so I'll bet it's pretty well covered.

Thanks for the interest Brian. The client would just as soon have the skin mount but would have considered a repro if the situation was right.. I was just trying to kill two birds with one stone. Lessen my work load while helping someone out who needed/ would like a mold of this beauty. Take care. PS. yeah! I understand your point. Thanks old fart

Marc,

I would consider molding your fish for you for free if someone other than myself covered all of the shipping costs.  Let me know and I will send photos of fish I replicated.  BYW, I live in central Indiana.

Hey Jl, what was the condition of the northern you sent? They said it looked like crap when they got it? I;m sure you just took it in as a spare and never really looked it over so no fault of yours, but Randy said it was ethiopian looking, scars and scales missing everywhere. You get back what you send

I can live with scars and missing scales on a repro as I can correct those flaws, what I expect is at least as good as I sent and this just wasn't anywhere near that. You saw the air bubbles and bumps all over the repro so you know what I'm talking about and you said it was a lousey job when I showed it to you. So how come you are recommending them to others who don't know them? They may suit your level of work, but they sure don't suit mine. 'Nuf said.

Just be glad you don't live near the best musky fishing in the world where I'm at. It's nothing to hook up with a couple dozen in a day here on a good day. Trouble is people bring them to me and never come back with a deposit!

Cecil, are all those giant muskies from the great lakes or inland waters? Why so big by you? I suppose it's like the walleyes here. If it ain't 10 lbs. or darn close, it's just another nice walleye. Takes about a 12-14 pounder to really turn heads around here. There was just a write up in the papers about a guy in northern WI who caught a number of muskies over 50 inches and kept one over 50 lbs. I mounted one for a client last year that pushed 48 lbs. You mean to tell me your getting in muskies over 50 lbs? Or is Indiana just jealous of our big muskies like California is jealous of our big Cows?? That's of the bovine persuasion, for all you making jokes about our women!!
