I have a customer who found a dead dear with the velvet hanging off the antlers last year.  This year he was able to harvest an early bow kill and wants to use that cape for the rack with the velvet.  The rack is sun bleached and the velvet is dried and still attached is some spots but hanging loose on other spots.  Does anyone have suggestions as to how to make the velvet look fresh.  Paint or stain and what color???  This is the first time I have posted to the forum and am looking forward to the suggestions.
