Have you hugged your snake today!

Well here he is, decent sized snake at 50". He had some serious slippage on its head on down to the neck that i had posted awhile back so i had to try my hand at painting the head. I carved the form and cast the head on it. I also had to rebuild the supraocular sheilds and around the eyes on him. I hope you like it.

That's a good looking snake Jeremy! I wish I could/would try to carve more forms for my snakes. Maybe you ought to put a tongue in that snakes mouth, that would really top that pose off I think. Wink

Jeremy, That is another nice mount. If you still have the real tongue you can lay it out on the curved edge of something (I use a Elmer's glue bottle) and let it dry. Then put several coats of mode podge or white glue to give it some bulk after it shrinks from drying. Then make a small hole in the mouth to insert it. It is easy with a foam head but a cast Bondo head will be a bit more of a challenge. You can put the curve up or down.

Thanks Guys, I can see that I need to watch that dorsal line a bit better Wink

Dean the more I look at it I can see that a tounge would be the ticket on this mount, but ill have to wait for another snake this size to come in. I think I could pull it off on the insertion though. Thanks for the tip  Wink
