Here's some sheepshead we caught this summer. Nothing huge but fun to catch and pull like bluegills on steroids.  Grin
Me

My brother

And my Dad. He had the horseshoe up his you know that day. His was about 6.5lbs.

Is that Oregen Inlet?    Sure looks like a place I tied off of before.

This thread was sooo far back it took some finding ! it is time it was brought forward.
Here is my biggest Atlantic salmon to date, Not huge by any means , a 33" 13lb autumn run fish that did not spawn, yet hung around the river. Still in breeding colours and in very good condition considering. Definitely one for a replica, against every fiber in my body I had to release the fish "by Law"  Angry

Ken, I can still make a replica, Rich at Angling artisans has one VERY close to it. And I have contacted him about it , I have had a few blanks from Rich and was very happy with them.
But I agree, it is a shame I could not have kept it, especially since it has taken me over 50 years to catch it !!!!

Our big family has been going to L. Superior for 41 years for 2 weeks of camping. A highlight is always going out on the big lake to troll for lake trout and a few coho. My 4 grandkids love it. The big lake is rarely this smooth but we did have a few days when it was almost flat. Lots of fish and lots of fun.

Fish often, leave the barbs on, keep some to eat or mount, and apologize to no one.
