Scott I have done this type of habitat for years (mostly on 1/2 LS bears) and like the concept. I don't know about the generic cookie cutter look that it will give deer mounts as they will all be the same. Just a thought.

I ordered some just to check them out I got one of the driftwood and one of the 2 rocks.  The driftwood one isnt bad, but I dont care for the rock one.  They both would be greatly helped with the addition of some moss or grass or something, like they have in the pictures.

Lone Wolf, I'll agree with you on the cookie cutter look. I tried the rock habitat and thought it was ok. It does push the mount away from the wall leaving a gap. Found it a little difficult to attach by myself. I guess I'd use them again if the customer wants one.

I ordered 2 driftwood (left and right) and a double rock.. I can see where it would maybe look nice.. As for cookie cutter, heck half the people get the same ole pose every year.. Side you can dress them up by adding some personal touches..
Its funny they show a picture of the two driftwood on one mount, but the two I got dont even match in color? One is more silvery, the other more brown.
The rocks look different than the pic too.. instead of being more rounded its kind of pointed outward giving it a ledge, which work  good for adding some pine branches or snow etc.. IM using the rocks to hide a short cape for a customer. Was cheaper than going with a full new cape and easy enough to screw the rock onto the deer form Smiley So I spenmd like 2 seconds screwing the rock panel on instead of the time it would take to make the rocks etc..
Neat Idea I think.. We shall see how well I like it later LOL...
