I have a deer that came in yesterday that has an ear that is bent backwards. It's fussed in this position to the other side. I don't think it can be opened. do I inject it with something after the tan? Huh

You should be able to open it with some judicious scalpel use. We get horribly mutilated & healed hog ears & never saw one we couldnt open.

If it's too dry you can inject stop rot into it to rehydrate it.

After working on a couple cape buffalo ears for the other taxidermist in my area I learned real quick that any ear CAN be turned.

Well , when I got to the turn it did not open. I must be doing something wrong. I even tried to inject the ear and the injection did not want to go in. It's very thin. as a matter of fact it ripped at that point. I stopped, and here I am again. now what?
