hen turkey help
«

Hey all-
I'm looking for instruction on the best way to mount a hen turkey. I've seen really great info on strutting toms, but am having trouble with a standing or flying hen. I have a double-bearded gal I'm looking to make look her best.
Thanks in advance for any and all advice!
Take care & have a great and safe season.

When was it killed? If the fall I am betting on pin feathers. It will be hard to make look good. But if it is good, it will no different than mounting a standing or flying tom. Find the Breakthrough magazine articles that Cally Morris did. They will help tremendously. Obviously the measurements Cally uses for cutting the bones will be different.
