Well something a bit different from me--lol.
I don't/didn't think anyone would have believed me if I didn't actually post proof---I actually mounted a deer---lol.

And it kinda resembles one to--lol.

Gary, you are right, I am seeing it and still not believing it!  HA!  Not only does it resemble a deer, but I think it looks pretty good!  You didnt paint any scales on it did you?

My first replica in nearly two years...actually, my first anything in nearly two years. I jusy had to see if I still had it... Undecided Hopefully I can get back on the horse and contribute again. Tim Wynia, thanks for the bass...had a good time with it.
By the way, I tried Liquid Scales for the first time today...awesome stuff! Wink Sure beats Treasure Gold!
Been a long time since I photographed one too!!! The fins and back of this fish are nowhere near as dark as the pic looks. Oh well! Looks ok on my wall!!

Awesome Gary! I'm always inspired by your talent and creativity. Thanks for sharing your great talent.

How did you cast it? Alginate? Bondo? Silicon? Rubber? Plaster? The hair looks unbelievably real! Inquiring minds want to know. :>)

take care

? I had to quote this just so no one pulls it down when you find out that Gary just mounted a deer. Its a real deer mount not a cast. The other posters was just giving him a hard time because he is a fish guy. Looks like he is a deer guy that does fish too.
Good mount but funny post.

OK, this is my second cast fish.  I had to make every tooth in his mouth by hand.  Is that the norm for these, or is there an easier way?  I used silicone in the mouth mold, but couldn't get the casting material down in the mold.  Outstanding fish this week - as usual.  That Tarpon blows my mind.
