The leg re-hydrated fairly well, but it was still very stiff.  I would have liked to tuck the leg up a little higher I think, but didn't want to risk breaking anything else Grin

Thanks for your help guys.  I will be mounting a double banded black duck this weekend (open winged) so I 'll send pics when its done.

You did it! Good job. It was not a "knee surgery", but anyway looks good now. Oh, I know... You positioned this way because you though it was a knee...

He looks like a whole new bird! Good job.

This reminds me of a saying that I've seen/heard repeated a few times: A taxidermist is only as good as the mistakes he/she can fix.

He may play football again... Grin  Something to think about for next time...Tough to tell from the picture, but your center balance looks off.  A duck on one leg would have that support foot at an angle pretty close to center of the bird.  Nice job.
