Do any of you know how to make earliners without removing cartilage from the ear, and what is the best way to fix bald spot on the back of an ear.

speak for yourself.
mike, earliners are like 6 bucks or so a pair. If your to cheap to buy em, use some bondo and do your ears that way. Quit trying to reinvent the wheel and go with whats out there. Your get rich quick schemes are what have gotten you all the razzing (no pun intended, well maybe a little, LOL) on here in the first place.

I just don't think you could get much cheaper than bondo and resin.

i would SPEND the 6 BUCKS and be done with it. If you use an inferior method, YOU WILL GET AN INFERIOR end result.
like i said mike, quit trying to re invent the wheel and go with it. I suppose you can use what ever you want, but if you want a good end result, go with a tried and tested method, either use a real earliner bought from someone who knows how to make them, or bondo your ears, its really that simple.

In an old issue of taxidermy today (july/ august 2007) they show how to make them with fiberglass or bondo and paper strips.

I remember that one, I also remember asking myself, "why would you waste the time"? Like Russ said for $6.00 you can buy a set.
This is my serious answer. I think with a little work, you can make anything, but you have to ask yourself, what is your time worth? You could spen a couple hours making a set and when your done they will look like you made them.
