Martin Green is from the Area of Victoria Australia Martins dream was to get on a plane for the first time ever and travel half way around the world to learn what will be a vocation to his passion in Life fishing and Taxidermy! Martin is a accomplish fisherman and I would be understatement this but Man they sure so have some awesome fish where Martin lives!

Martin worked on 11 fish all together and completed 8 of the 11 the others are mounted or all ready to paint but we did plan to take some time to go do a bit of fishing with Paul Czarnecki so that Martin would have the experience of his life as a long time dream and goal. Rick Krane

Typical I post a picture or 2 but this week I thought I would share several of Mr. Martins Green's work he did in the 30 day he spent with us at Anglers Artistry.

Martin worked on a Major game fish in the Asian Pacific are and a prize fighter in Australia the Giant Trevally or GT as it is known in the Land Down under!

Here is the close up of the head of the GT

Here is a eye close up! Another Jeff Lumsden custom EYE!

Another Grand trophy of Australia fishing waters both fresh and salt ids the Barramundi or "Barra" as it is known. From A bright chrome slat water fish to a bronze gold backed fighter this fish is a beautiful specimen and a tremendous looking fish!

Here is a good shot of the delicate body detail of this Barra!

The Barra shares a duel pupil cone refraction property as our Walleye. When in the proper lighting setting the pupil will reflect back a reddish glow! How cool!

Here are a few Smaller Aussie fish! The coral Australia Shark minnow. From the Skin mount to Molding and casting of the other 2 the triple display will add to the beautiful background drama for the Prize Maco Shark of the coals Waters of Australia!

Here is the Final dramatic portrait of life and death for the food chain of the coastal Australian waters.

Here is a detailed head Shot of Martins Maco!

Here is A beautiful Fish that is a trophy for any ones Game room! In the Caribbean it is known as the Dorado in the Pacific the Maihi Maihi in the Ocean the Dolphin fish!

Here is a close up of the head detail that Martin learned is so vital to good presentation

Here is a close up of the face of some fine detail we teach to all who want to learn!

Martin's Killer eye work!

My Best!

All I can say is WOW!!!! I am not a fish guy and infact this is the first time in 10 years of surfing taxidermy net that I have ever even opened the fish section. But those fish just blow me away!! that is some of the nicest work I have ever seen. The eye detail is unbelievable.

Well done!! I will be checking back more often. Makes me want to start doing fish!!

Wow Mr. Green those are so amazing mounts! I better start saving up some $ for a few lessons with Rick.

I finally got around to repainting an old barracuda mount I did years ago. I used a comerrical stripper to take off the gloss and paint and it ate right thru the fiberglass. Had to rebuild the blank by  filling the holes and damaged areas with apoxie and wood filler. It was a big mess, but I finally finished the body work and paint job last night.  No gloss has been added yet in the photo.  Blank is the 55incher from New Wave.
