Here is my newest piece.
I am now working on a young coyote with an Arapaho motif.
After the coyote, a cow skull (partial) that is for a personal healing piece for a couple.

I call this one "The Forest Floor"

Thanks Holmes. I haven't seen another like it either... which makes it a hard fit in galleries. I spend too many hours hunting for a rep. When I get a rep I will be soooooo happy.

Oracle,

Try contacting Ginny at Luna Jewelry Design in Magdalena, New Mexico. Ginny has been beading animal skulls, such as your work, for over 25 years. She may be able to give you advice on how to market your product as she sells her jewelry all over the country. If I remember correctly, she had a hard time selling the beaded skulls as they are so time intensive the market wouldn't bear the price tag that needed to be on them. (But that was many years ago, that we had that conversation and no-one was creating anything like her beaded skulls or showing them in galleries, hopefully things have changed.) You would think galleries would welcome such an interesting and unique art form.

Thanks for posting your work, it is beautiful! I remember the first time I had seen a coyote skull Ginny had beaded and thought I would like to bead one, but thats a lot of little beads and a lot of time Wink!

Best of luck with marketing them.
Kind regards,
Mary

Any leads would be great. I will continue to create these pieces regardless of the market. They are my passion. I am glad to see some people do enjoy them.

Maureen,

I took a look at your website and your work is just beautiful. Have you tried any of the galleries in old town Scottsdale, Az,. The galleries are abundant in southwestern wildlife prints and bronzes. I would think your skull art would compliment the aforementioned mediums. Sedona (Tlaquepaque), Prescott and Jerome, Az. are very artsy southwestern areas also. Arizona is a state that is deeply appreciative of our abundant and beautiful wildlife and the various forms of wildlife art sell well.

Once you find the right avenue to expose your art or the right person to promote you, you will be beading your little fingers off! Grin

Kindest regards,
Mary

Yes, I am already beading my little fingers off but I need a rep so I don't have to spend time hunting for sales... something that is not my forte.

Thanks for looking at my website. I gave up renewing it. Everytime it was time to put new stuff up, I would forget some of the protocol or some other frustration. Its fine as it is and will be happy with it.
