Good Morning from New Hampshire!

We see a year gone past which was filled with lots of great information to make all of work just that much better and we usher in with eager eyes a new year to bring for sure new and better ways to do what we do! We look forward to seeing a LOT of pictures and sharing what we know with each other to make our taxidermy better for all to enjoy!!!  I again want to thank Greg Stehling & Son's Fish Taxidermy Wholesale Fish Specialists for starting and being so generous to give us all a great learning tool to inspire!

Rick....Great looking Largemouth !
Thanks for sharing so much of your excellent work!
When you charcoal in the barring pattern and spots, is this done with a pencil or brush ?

Thanks,

Hi Rick, fantastic job, and much different from any paint schedule I've ever seen. My only question is at what point do you glue the fins on. Do you paint them separately, and how do you blend in the epoxy work after you have done all the detailing?

Nice work, guys! Beautiful work as always, just what we have come to expect from both of you, Doug and Rick. Here are a few bass from the past. We don't get too many up here in steelhead country. The first two are from my own molds, the last is one of the few skin mounts I have ever done.

Checking in! big THANK YOU! I hope it helps in some way...on to the good stuff!

DOUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the toughest to pull off and my friend you did just that! Awesome job and sweeeeet soft markings! Like the branchiostegal flare very clean!
BIG GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hey Dave what an beautiful Bass and one of your own casts to boot!!!! fantastic fin detail and the backgrounds!!!!!!!! OK More this week I would like to see I know but it will be a new year soon and why not!
Wild Bill!!!!!!!!! A great big Touge as we call em up in these parts! Very nice Laker my friend!!!!!! You captured the subtle softness of this char very well! Great work!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Greg man has returned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! terrific Browns! Your work is always top shelf for sure!!!!! I was wondering when you would share your beautiful work this week! Thank you again Greg for starting and doing what you do here!

The fin question... Hey Jon! I put them back on by tacking in place with some CA then I use Epo Grip fin magic as a adhesive to blend in to place it work great for that too. The fins are Pre-painted and almost no touch up (very little ) is needed to finish.

Hey Don it is a charcoal stick I use with a Small Filbert brush to soften then I air brush over the pre mask markings.Do we need Pictures!!!!

One more cup and back to Friday.

my Best!

Rick

All these are just fantastic. Thanks for sharing how and what you do Rick. Doug, that muskie is very very nice. I see them ruined or over done so often and I can really appreciate when they're done so nicely.
