I saw a locked set of mule deer antlers on Ebay with a "But  it now" price of $2999. My jaws dropped. Is it just me or does everyone think something is wrong here. These are two average bucks who may have got in a fight and died, and now they are worth a fortune ? I have lots of racks that I could jam together and say they were locked. Some people have good pictures of these things. If they were locked and died, still I don't understand why people think they are more valuable. Give me your thoughts.

Lots of people out there to make a quick buck, evidence is all over Ebay.  I mean they sell potato chips on there that they say look like famous people for the love of God.

There is a market and buyer for EVERYTHING. what sounds a waist of money to you, will be exactly what someone else is looking for,, go figure. Two ways of making money in sales, sell allot for a little, or a little for allot. Some guy will buy that lock and drag it to his taxidermist without blinking an eye, and want it mounted. That guy might live down your road, and you not know it.

#1headhunter, true authentic locks usually have very recognizable wear marks. Not always, as it could be a set where two bucks were locked, but died quick, but thats not likely. Theres usually contact/wear marks so distinctive to locks, from my experience. Id love to own a set of locks that were rubbed well, theyre not common. Im not shelling out 3 Gs though, lol, long live ebay.
