My husband gave me a camera for Christmas, so I've been out stalking the local mulies when I go for my morning walks. Today I had some great success. I was walking along the trail, and up ahead across the pond I saw a couple of kids flush out a pair of deer. At first I cursed because I thought that would be the end of it, I thought the kids had scared the wits out of the deer & they would be long gone. But no! One little deer burst out of the thicket ahead of me and ran past on my right. I turned and edged my way towards it as it slowed and this little deer was quite the ham. I worked slowly and I guess I made the deer believe I wasn't a threat. It checked me out and actually laid down about ten feet from me. It gave me some great shots I'd like to share.
