I don't know if any of you were like me in finding a decent lip tucking tool.  Nothing ever seemed to fit my oversized mitts and those brass rods imbedded in a cheap dowel lasted me about one deer.  Then someone made a solid steel one that I just could never get any leverage on.  I was sick of that crap. so I decided to make my own.  I found a cheap Chinese screwdriver set at Walmarts and the following pictures show you what did with it.

You MUST anneal the screwdriver tip in order to cut it, form it, and sand it.  Once you are done, you can reheat the steel and quench the tip in motor oil to return the temper to the tip.

Here's a good one, with a good fitting handle with a short shank so you do not need to choke up on it.

Order one soon and I'll ship free with a free EZ-Noze bottle & tip.

For large game mounts I have always used a ordinary butter knife and cut off and dull the blade with only about an inch above the handle. Takes a good wide bite and the handle is comfortable for pushing. I have several  lip and eye tucking type tools I have made myself over the years with various size screw drivers the same as George made here. When I need one I spend about a half hour looking and being upset and when no is around to blame I get really upset! Smiley I am going to give my work area a really good cleaning and reorganizing "tommorrow" I promise.

LMAO Jim,  I said EXACTLY the same thing just about 30 minutes ago.  I know the Taxidermy Fairy is moving stuff when I"m not there.
