I've been bumped which is for my own stupidity and for that I apologise.   However i found that after 10 days of the waiting period to repost I got my post removed?

is this because I reposted  a post I HAD posted before and used it again.

Some of you might be making this waaayyyy more complicated then it is. Let me be to the point. Hope this helps...

Post a for sale item...
monitor it any way you see fit...if youd like to keep it in the first few pages, make your post interesting enough for people to post comments...
Dont put "ttt" which means to the top, as thats considered "bumping" or moving up to the top, see?...
If you need to bring it forward, try adding some other information thats vital to the sale, or noteworthy, like a reduction in price, and/or an update of whats still for sale, but not just one word to just bump it, make it meaningful, or that comment gets deleted....
After ten days from the date of the original post, you can then bump it, maybe putting the words "still available" or something simlar...
If these rules are not followed, people are getting pushed aside, and thats not fair to all of the sellers and buyers. If this happens, the moderators will edit it. If it continues, then the post may be removed.

A very common report we get here is when folks feel their post was removed, when, in fact, it was just many pages back due to know interest in the product. Theres alot of items for sale listed, so it doesnt take long!

Good luck with your sales and purchases!!!

One of the big problems in the for sale section is when someone list anything and in 10 hours it is 8 to 10 pages back. This is mainly because of the people that have 10+ different items for sale and make 10+ different post instead of 1 post with all items listed in it. And it tends to be the same ones all the time that do this and the bumping. Is there anything that can be done to control this along with the bumping as this is not fair to the ones buying and selling also.

We covered the bumping, so thats settled. As for many posts by the same member, Im not sure. If they have that many things to sell, its often easier for perspective buyers to read in that format, seperately. I dont know what Ken's thoughts are on this. Maybe guys who are always listing many items might need to look at working with Ken for another way, or to subdivide the for sale section, I dont know. Its tough seeing your Monday @ noon sale post end up on page nine by five oclock, I know. You might wanna ask Ken, what could it hurt. Maybe we just get buyers used to scrolling down those pages until the date gets old...like I view it. Personally, I like seeing that many pages of possibilities!

I always put my items together (at least 2-4 items) and put it in the title of the post. You can always go back later and change the name of the post and take out the items that are sold.

OK, so here's my take on it. I agree with your bumping rule.
The thing That I see as an issue is there is no way of knowing when a post was started. For instance when we scroll down the list of topics, we know when the last post was added, and we know who started the topic, but not the date the topic was started.
We need to see the topic start date along with the name of the person who started the topic. That way we can scroll through and search for the most current (new) topics much easier. If I am buying or selling this would help both people to find what they are looking for.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Yep, the date is there. Besides, how can you not know when you made your for sale post? This isnt like science, this is just courtesy, post a for sale post, and let it go. Not much else to say...yet we sure have!

i couldn't agree w/ you more... i find it utterly selfish and obnoxious when some one posts 10 different things in 10 different posts... especially when they are closely related and/or the same exact species...  cant ya just make your topic header a little more descriptive... IE:  selling 3 bob cats, to yoties and a mink... 6 different posts, pushing 5 others off the first page or two selfishly, or one post saying FS 3 bobcats, 2 yoties, and a mink all for sale...  not that hard.  yet some jackholes on here feel they need to break em up and push others off the main page.  its sad.  i currently have about 10 african specimen, and a few NA, and a few birds, about 20 diffrernt things, all in one post... wasn't that hard to do... why cant this forum do something about the selfish people... who clog up the for sale section w/ multiple post's of darn near the same thing?

<---moderator, not a babysitter. You good guys keep doing it the right way, and there will be fewer and fewer "bad guys". The buyers quickly recognize that you guys are also helping them buy, too. Itll all work out. Thanks!
