Sorry for not having step by step photos, but you should be able to get the "picture."
This arrived broken in half, the customer wanted it remounted to the original plaque that had fallen off the wall and crashed.( I drew a dark line in the photo for you of where the crack was), I first drilled two holes in each half and wired the break as tight as I could until the flex of the joint was gone and snug. I drilled a few extra holes for my filler material to bond to, and I then took a one gallon zip lock baggie and zip tied it snugly around the antler burrs, leaving an open slot on top to pour in two part plastic resin. I propped up the antler tips to where I thought would be in the wall hanging position, and poured in the two part plastic. The bottom of the baggie on the table, formed a flat mounting area that will set flat on the plaque. All I need to do is drill back open the larger mounting holes, and bolt it to a temporary board, cover with two part foam, and rasp the foam to the final skull cap shape and go.
Total break repair was a half hour, twenty minutes of that was the plastic curing.
