I have a 3 ft deep hole dug in the yard. 3 ft by maybe 2ft or so. I keep it filled with old hay from the dog house. When I go to dump a bucket, I take a shovel and dig out the hay. I pour in the buckets and wait a bit till the water mostly sinks into the ground. I then backfill with the hay again and put a piece of plywood over the top to keep critters from digging it up. Virtually no odor at all. Not only that, after a few times of this, that hay is full of the thickest population of fishing worms I have ever seen. As the hay degrades, I just add more. Dirt gets mixed in too. Worms seem to like it a lot.

Sounds like a good idea, how much land do you have? Your dogs don't try to get in it or are they fenced from the area?

I love the natural stained color on the teeth. I'll probably post a pic of the squirrel skull I did recently.

The new house has about 1/4 acre. No problems with the dogs. They do as they're told.
