Getting better with age :)

« on: January 23, 2009, 02:49:14 PM »

On  February 13th & 14th the Texas Taxidermy Association will be holding a mini seminar at the "Inn of The Hills" in Kerrville, Texas.  For those of you who have not been, it is an up close and personal learning experience that is close to priceless when it comes to knowledge gained.  This year Clay Wagner will be putting on a 2 day seminar Friday & Saturday.

We have so many Taxidermists both young & old, beginners & veterans, members & nonmembers of the TTAI asking questions about mounting Bobcats here on the Taxidermy.net and now it is right in your back yard to learn from the one of the best in my personal opinion, Clay Wagner.

Well sometimes to open peoples eyes, you have to offer a little candy.....so here's the catch Wink Smiley  I am looking for fresh meat.

To all new & want to be members of the TTAI I am making this special offer.  IF YOU HAVE NEVER attended a Texas Taxidermy mini seminar now is the time.  Attend the TTAI mini seminar on the 13th or 14th FOR THE FIRST TIME and you are eligible to win a 1 day with hotel fully guided fishing trip with yours truly.  The only stipulation is you have to attend Smiley

So if you are not a member you can register & join the Association in Kerrville or if you are at present a member you need to come to your 1st mini seminar.

This is how it's going to work....lets keep it simple.  To all new members wanting to attend the seminar & current members who have never been to one, you will meet me at one of my favorite spots on this Earth.... the desert bar at the Inn of The Hills Resort at 12:00 noon on Friday & Saturday.  Each day, present me your business card, or similar sized card with your name on it to be drawn by one of the pretty waitresses working there at 12:15 P.M. Saturday noon.  That's right, you have 2 chances to win if you attend both days.  If you can come Friday, but not Saturday, throw your card in Friday & if we draw it Saturday you win.  You need to be present only one day of the seminar to be eligible, but each day you are there is an extra chance to win.

This is what you are trying to win.  A full day sun up to sun down fully guided fishing trip Saturday August 8th in Palacios & Matagorda Bay, launching out of Palacios,Texas aboard my 17 1/2' center console Bay Boat the "crapty1".  We will fish the rigs, reefs & grass for Speckled Trout, Red Fish, Flounder, Black Drum.  All bait, tackle & noon meal Saturday is supplied.  Friday night there will be a hotel room provided at no cost to you right inside of Palacios where we will be staying so we can launch out at the break of dawn on Saturday....which means you need to be in Palacios Friday evening.  As I said, we will fish all day and when we get back to dock at 8:00 at night you are on your own Smiley

This raffle is for 1 person & one person only (negotitable if your girlfriend looks good in a bathing suit Wink LMAO)  UNLESS A MINOR wins, then YOU MUST bring along one of your parents or a guardian.  The age limit is 14 years old & up...and once again let me stress....if you are a minor, YOU MUST BRING YOUR PARENT (1) FISHING!

BTW, I do have 2 rules while fishing with me.  #1, have as much fun as humanly possible.  #2  With out exception, there absolutely will not be any alcohol consumed on or in my boat.  If you have to get drunk or drink while you fish then PLEASE don't even consider puting your name in the pot...PLEASE.   Now, Friday night at the hotel, or after fishing Saturday I have no problems.  Drink & be merry.  I do not mind drinking......hell, I don't even mind drunks, (I was one of them LOL Wink Cheesy )  but I will not tolerate a drunk on my boat.

So a quick run through, you will arrive in Palacios on Friday evening August 7th and we will fish all day Saturday August 8th. ALL bait, gas, and needed neccesities are provided for this trip.  Have fun & will see you Feburary 13th & 14th.

Spent my whole life lookin' back
 Not lookin' ahead to see
Trying to keep my feet on track
Doin' what was expected of me
Kick my shoes off so they can't trace me
 Leave no forwarding address
Before they all drive me crazy
And I leave 'em all in a bloody mess
