I am new to taxidermy and was given a nice 8 pt deer but one of the anlters came off at the base as if shed. How do I get this thing back on and what do I use to do it.  I did find one thread on this but didn't quite get the explanation.  I'm  more of a visual person if anyone has pics of how to do this.  I need to get the antler on a shoulder mount form.
thanks for any help.

ive always drilled 2 holes into skull the size of 1/8 inch steel rod, drop 2 pieces of rod into skulls holes put paint on the end ,hold shed horn over it to make marks where ya want it and drill them out into antler base, pull out the short pins and insert longer ones in it to go up into the shed, epoxy it all in place after dryed go over it with epoxy scupt or all  game etc. if you only use 1 rod your antler will most likely twist around.
