Color of hide after Lutan F

Tanned a whitetail cape with Lutan F, and after shaving the majority of the hide is white, but there are some areas that have a reddish tint to them. Is this normal, or does it need another cycle thru the process.

Those spots are probably thicker than the rest. Hit one down on the shoulder with your wheel again and see if you get to white.

I've tanned 8 different types of furbearers with it and they've gotten "whiter" but there are spots that aren't. Some of the furbearers look the same as when they came out of the pickle.

The reddish sounds like it isn't pickled yet... like the hide is still raw.
