Jeff,
Let me know the final verdict.  I'll be in the same boat next year!

Sarge, maybe you could post the form/letter here and we could just print it out, fill it out and spend our own dime to mail it to the appropriate individual.  Seems I've seen ads for taxidermy schools that claim to qualify for VA benefits.  You might check this out and assuming that you find some, use that to convince the individuals you're dealing with that taxidermy is indeed a legitimate industry.

The reason I didn't post it up was I wasn't quite sure how to do it, I can do pics but documents I wasn't sure on and as far as sending them directly to the VA, I don't think it would work as there is NO form number and each State has it's own Chain from your individual rep up to one of the 6 Big regional offices they probably wouldn't get to the right person.  As with any individual dealing with the Military or the VA you have to have your own individual packet that goes under your personal case file.  This way I know how many I send out and get back and can take them all in bulk as proof we do this not just as a hobby.

I will be sending out tomorrows batch from the responses today.  I need them back as soon as I can get them as after I get done with my Business plan with the SBA I have to make my appointment with the counselor and then she has to take it to her boss at the state office and so forth.  I just hope I have enough time to get through it all so I can attend the June 15th class at CITT in Colorado.  It's a 9 1/2 week program and they are approved.  I need to make it a summer class as we have 4 kids and with them all in school and my wife working it gets to be a lot for one person alone in the winter, besides I get back about 4 weeks before the seasons open and I plan to MARKET THE HE!! outta this place.  I am already working to line up a couple guides and outfitters for the fall migration, there are a lot of birds knocked down up here at the top end of the Mississippi Flyway and ND is in the middle of the Prairie Pothole region with the depth of snow we have this year Duck and Goose season should be Phenomenal.  Wiith any luck and a lot of prayers my first year will be a good one and get me the start I am hoping for.

Luckilly my wife works at the hospital and the Doc's all love to hunt.

Thanks again for the responses to everyone.

Well the worm has turned

I went to the ND Voc Rehab with the Exactly the Same information 2 weeks ago and they said it was three times what they needed to help me.  So I will be going to Dave's School of Taxidermy right here in ND for 8 weeks starting June 1st.  Go figure I spent 6 months playing the Federal Game and my own home state said sure we know Taxidermy is an Excellant Business to go into when do you want to go to school and this is the one we have sent others to, and they seemed very happy with what they were taught.  I have spoken with Dave and have helped to get him started with approval to be qualified to support the GI Bill as well so if anyone thinks the Feds are a major pain in the Backside go see your local State Agency especially if you live in Rural America as I do, they know what Taxidermy is and are glad to help.

Thank God and everyone else for all the Help.
