I was wondering the different ways to fix a ear that has drumed out. Thanks for the input.

Oh boy.   Im a newbie and I can see it coming.   wheres George? ....... LOL   bondo is not an adhesive. Its a filler.

Smack a car fender with bondo on it and see what happens.  It cracks and falls off. It only sticks from grabbing the nooks and crannys left from a grinder. Put it on smooth metal and after it sets it will pull right off.

Use some good adhesive instead of bondo.

Something you can try. Put a damp rag in ear and wrap in plastic to hold moisture. Without cartlidge should take a couple hours. Turn mount so ear cup is up. Make a small air escape in inner ear and a hole big enough for a syringe without needle in ear tip. Load syringe with headlock or some other slow set epoxie. Inject epoxie in ear working it in all directions until it come out air escape. Put damp rag back in ear, wrap with plastic. Let set until next day. Worked once for me with a bondoed ear. In the future use epo grip 7 minute or some other good epoxie. Just my opinion.

Two brothers, I do it the same way you do it but I think I am doing one thing differently then you. I drill holes and scuff up the liner before I apply the bondo to the liner. I have never had any drumming in my ears with this methood, I have even done some this way with the cartilage left in and had no problem except for that they were a little thick for my licking but they were commercial mounts

next time you young fellers get some spare deer ears from someone that wants a European mount  try my resin/bondo ears
you'll never have to worry about drumming again
