Guys, you are going to have to blame me for Mr. Garland Lessley receiving the Starfish Award.  There were no reproduction fish and his snapping turtle was truly wonderful, so I suggested the turtle.  Sorry, I didn't have the award or criteria in front of me, I just thought is was any reproduction.  It was an awesome original cast painted to perfection, and a job well done.  Oh well, I have seen worse mistakes made with awards.  Congratulations Garland.  Maybe all you reptile guys will stand a chance at some major awards at the next show I judge.  Heck, I loved Kirby's lizard at the Kansas show.  I might have cast my vote for it, for the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation award if I would have been judging. (LOL)

Well then...It's all your fault!

I think if there were no replica fish at the show, then it's nice that someone won the award. I wouldn't call it a mistake Ken, more of a judgement call. Again, looks like there were some great pieces at the show, congrats to all of the winners.
