Has anyone tried to thin B-72 paraloid down and use it in a paint sprayer? I figure to check if anyone has tried this before I spend hours cleaning a sprayer. If the finish is good it may be worth the sprayer cleaning time but the acetone may just evaporate and clog the tip to quickly to get any benefit from it.

I would suppose that you could. Possibly use it dissolved in denatured alcohol instead. Any large skulls I have done that would not fit in the bucket for a dunking I just applied it with a brush over a sheet of plastic. Peeled up all the drips when done and put them back in the bucket.

I tried it this morning through one of my old air brushes. It webs out pretty well but if you go back and spray it again with pure Acetone it dissolves the paraloid again. I was trying to make it work inside of a large bear skull on the nasal cavity. I don't have anything large enough to dunk this one in.

By the way if you ever want to make fake white mold this is it.

Hmm. ... I've done a large bear and dunked it. If the head will fit in a 5 gallon bucket, tip it to make the Paraloid deeper on one side and put the skull in nose first. Slosh it around a bit to get it up inside. If that doesn't work, up end the skull vertically and pour the paraloid down the nose. It will soak all the inner nasals and run out the other side into whatever you put under it. I did this with a horse and then brushed the paraloid on the outside surfaces. It worked well.

I'm still playing with effects with paraloid. Pouring it into warm water does interesting things too. I haven't the means to spray it. Post a picture of your mold. That should be interesting. Smiley
