I have a tanned cape that has small pedical bases. Can i put a diffrent set of horns that has bigger pedicals on this cape? Could I cut the hide to fit these bigger bases?   Thanks CharlieO

i have done that on some of my first couple deer and have found that it usually doesnt present a problem.  i have done 2 and they have come out fine.   but from reading the archives before i did mine they say if need be you can cut small slivers out to make it fit.

especially if you thin around the antler burr skin, it will grow on you. then you will need a bigger rack if you get trim happy.
