Fish Taxidermist/ Judge/ Sculptor/ Instructor

« on: March 20, 2009, 10:08:29 AM »

A really big Hello from Grand Rapids Michigan and the home of the 27th Michigan Taxidermist Association!  This year’s show is nothing less than spectacular.  Well over 200 incredible mounts displaying nature in the highest of artistic fashion.  Once again the MTA brings together taxidermist and wildlife artists from all over the country to share in learning and friendship.  It is my pleasure and honor to be here for the 3rd year in a row to see so many friends and to view some incredible works of art.  For sure I’ll be posting some very fishy pictures this week from the show.

I know I say it ever week but it is so true!  It is a wonderful place where we can come and share our work and be enjoyed for the efforts we make including me!

I want to thank all of the great contributors who really show not only great talent and work but rather give such inspiration to all of us!

A great week Fishheads!!!!!

There was some really inspirational fish work last week I hope you all had a great week my friends and family of Fishheads!!! Let's start off with some Big time thanks to our great contributors this past week!!

Here's a big hats off to the contributors who shared their talents!

From beginner's to the best in the world we all join in every week in a critique free and hassle free string with nothing more then great artist and inspiring fish taxidermist and carves get together to share with one another their praise and inspiration of good will and friendship to one another.

I thought I would start off this week with a few pictures from last weeks Illinois Taxidermy show.  Some truly wonderful fish work there and one very special young man, Tristan Niccum‏.  Tristan and his Dad Tracy drove all the way down from Indiana to the Illinois Taxidermy Association annual convention.  One of the events that they came to see was yours truly painting a fish.  This is the future of our taxidermy.  This young mans enthusiasm is to be noted; for regardless of age we must remember that little kid in all of us that wants to mount a fish.

I hope your week is productive and your freezers a bit lighter. Make money this week and be safe and enjoy your life and your gifts!

So here goes!

I hope you enjoy the week!
So with out further ado let's get week # 25 under way.

So here we go and here is to a great week in fish pictures!!!! #25! Enjoy!

Here is a picture of Tristan helping with the seminar bass.

Here are a few more great pictures of fish from the show.

My Best!

Have a great week!

Looks GREAT Twiggy! Still can't believe you have less than 12 fish completed and do not use an airbrush. You're my hero!
