Thanks for this great idea. Since I have only been doing this for six months this will make some projects alot easier for me. I will have to drive up to the local carwash today. Thanks Again. Mike

Good idea.
Question .... might be a dumb question also
: Is a tumbler used only for birds?

Thanks Everyone.
Lionheart: I use this tumbler for birds and small skins. bobcat, fox ect. Pretty much it just absorbs moisture from the hide/feathers, so there is less time blowing it with air/ blow dryer.

Right snappy! I have one I am making out of larger barrels, once I have the shop room to do so. If you have any leakage problems you could use self-adhesive weatherstrip around the door for a good seal. Appreciate your tutorial!

Just finished mine yesterday and I did put the weather stripping foam seal around the door.....nothing leaks out. This was slick as can be. Thanks for the tutorial

Yo Hoss, that's f**cking beautiful! I am just getting into doing some pheasant taxidermy and looking for inexpensive alternatives to all the necessary stuff needed. Your instructions and photos are great references! Thanks for sharing them.
