 Cheesy

roll out some apoxie sculpt on smooth finished cardboard  as ths will keep it clean...

youll want to get it as long as the eye ring ant tapered at the ends for ease of blending...

trim the roll to length

use a small tool to apply the ring to the front corner where it will later be blended with the caruncle ...

a small soft paint brush takes over now,  and keeping the brush moist  not soaking,  stroke the eye ring into place..

the roll in place  and now needs flattening a little  and blending the lower edge

use the tool once more to help blend the lower edge of the eye ring if need be..

Let me introduce  the  "micro knife"  by Ronco Grin  made from a carpet pin  cut off and grinded/filed to an angled edge......

use the micro knife to start the texture detail....

the glands are now textured in  but need softening  which you accomplish by soft continual brushing  with a moinst brush    shortly  the apoxie sculpt will be fluid on the surface and will settle into the revices softening and reducing them  ..  you can get as subtle as you need   even  tiny mammals can be done this way.....

THE SECRET  IS!~~~~~~~let the apoxie sculpt harden for about a half hour  after getting it on the eye and shaped...If you let it set up a little,  it will not distort so easily giving you a crisp pattern.....   This was just a demo eye,  and it still needs refinement  and more evenly spaced gland textures,  but it was just for the demo....    But dats how I do em..... Wink

so,  one more time,,  let the apoxie sculpt harden awhile before attempting to texture,  the more subtle the textue desired,  the harder it sould be,  then  use soft wet brushing  repeating as much as needed for the look desired....

you guys are welcome,  and Scotty,,,for YOU,,,,,,  fiddy cent  plus shipping.... Cheesy

an emeber,  the eye ring still needs more softening of the texture,  but get this far  then let refernce be your guide,  you can let it re harden for a while,  the go back over the textures to soften them more......repeat two or three times if needed  ... Wink
