Sorry to here about your bug. I am new and wanting to get some bugs. I have a freezer I am going to put them in. I have question? Do you have to have some kind of air vent in the lid?

Thanks,

Stoney

Use the search and you will find more info about beetle enclosures than you ever imagined.

In the next couple months I'm planning to get started with beetles in an aquarium. I've been reading a lot here about setting up one, usually the large ones in freezers, and they seem to always have a way to get air into the box. Beetles have to breathe, too, it seems. Shocked Getting the air in but not allowing the bugs to get out is the trick, I'd guess.  Huh

Air for the beetles is minor. Its the humidity levels that need to be kept down with the air circulation.
