As always, nice fish guys!

weirder than weird, this is a 42" goosefish repro. By far the most difficult mount i ever made. painting was the easy part, but the prep work was murder.

WOW!!!! What a truly impressive beginning to a Great week in every thing fish! Lat week brought some many tremendous displays of passion and commitment to the art and the craft of fish taxidermy and reproduction art. I never cease to amaze me how many talented folks are out there perfecting the craft and serving their clients. Not to get in to hot water but lets face it Fish taxidermy is different then the other disciplines in many regards. All of God work is beautiful just in my personal opinion fish are the most.

First up this week a great taxidermy and fish maker our friend Don brings us his art of fish! A beautiful hybrid trout!!! Hybrids are always a bit difficult in working out color and capturing the essence of the fish .Out standing work!!!

Our good friend from FLA Mike (mayhem15) tips the scales of difficulty with a very unique fish the Goosefish! We see them here in NH washed up from time to time on the shore. They are cool looking in their own way and you did a tremendous job making this one real as can be!!!

Paul!!! WOW!!!! I have only seen this done by the Great Tony Canova of CO. I will tell you that is a piece of art! I would love to display that in my own home! The vermiculation is tops, the Brown coloration is so real!!! I have to ask you want part was the toughest t for you I bet folks would like to know.  Consistently great work!

Doug!!! What clean lines you have on our Esox friend! Fantastic Pike!!! This is a great example of clean work and well done finishes on fish. Always an eye catcher from Doug!!

Gina!!!!! Can you feel it? Have you been converted? Your art is tremendous I enjoy just looking some times at your post to see the new graphics work!!!! OK soon I want to fish!!! Thank you for stopping by you are always welcome here!

I may not be on for a few days. I have some personal matter to give of my self this weekend. I will check in and I know this weekend will bring many more great fish!!! What a wonderful start to the week!

My Best!

Mike, I'm going to need a dozen or so of those Goosefish when you get a chance- he he. Just awesome, guys! All great, but the colors on Doug's rainbow really stand out to me, plus I really appreciate the "action" pose and head. I am bowing as low to the ground as I can go. You guys really inspire me so thanks!!     Dave
