i am sure that this has been covered but there was nothing that I uncovered!!  I am working on an artifical elk Euro mount.  So the skull cap is real and the "skull" is molded.  I was curious if the 40 vol. creme developer and the basic white mixture would bleach the apoxie sculpt that I use to blend the bone and the skull together.  I figured that someone has tried this or does that and thought I would ask before I get any science expermients going in here!!

 Thanks

i repired a skull before  with all game expoxy putty  ,and i wanted to reclean the skull after  ..not sure if it was from the peroxide or could have been the acetone i soked the skull in,  but the epoxy turned black on me . you might want to try it on a sample first and see what happens .

You didn't bleach out the skull cap and degrease it before you attached it to the repro skull?

I fixed a skull last year that a customer had dropped off of the wall, and broke 1/3 of the skull off. I had to blend the seam with apoxie since there were bone fragments missing. The only thing I got to look decent was this - after blending the apoxie and sanding the transition smooth, I lightly blended the apoxie and skull together using Krylon White primer. It is a GREAT color match when there is no other alternative.

Good luck

Just a little feedback, It does not do a very good job on the epoxie, a slight lighting but not much.  On the other hand, The krylon matched eprfect and saved the day.  thanks Justin!! Smiley
