Just wandered through the summer section in the local Job Lot store. Pool stuff has been set out for the summer and they have a fair stocking of the Peroxide Shock. They have others as well so read the label and make sure it is the 27% peroxide. It was $11.00 a gallon there.

I buy 35% peroxide in a 55gal drum for $210 plus $60 shipping to my door, been using it for a year, and only threw 2gal away so far. I have 4 containers in different sizes, from an ice cream bucket for small stuff, to a tote that a buffalo head will totally submerge in.  If you guys do alot of skulls, you should look into bulk amounts to save you all some cash and make things easier, jmo.

For those of us that use 4 or 5 gallons of peroxide a year, 55 gallons is a bit excessive. 27% is dangerous enough. Even I would not want to be playing with 35%. Even the 12% does a good job. I meant the post to notify those who live in the NE area that need a few gallons of the 27% Baquacil, Soft Swim, Pool Mate etc. The $11.00 bottles at Job Lot are the same thing and a lot cheaper than at the pool supply places.

Not to hijack your thread, but I logged on to start a similar post... got the NE Namco pool store flyer in todays mail.  Their "Blue Shield" brand- BQ Shock is 27%, regularly 8.99 a gallon (bought some for that last fall) the current sale price is 6.99 a gallon... I may just have to stock up a bit  Smiley

<edit> page 2 of their in home mailer pdf at http://www.namcopoolstore.com/pdf/Mailer.pdf in the lower right corner...

Namco would be cool. None of those in the area here on Cape Cod though. They do have stores in other areas and that is a GREAT price.

I'm fortunate to go past their worcester store on my way to work, but their website lists stores from Maine and New Hampshire down the east coast as far south as Maryland and Delaware...
