Got bored today so I built this.

I used a 1/3 hp, 1750 rpm motor and attached it to the stand made out of a 4x4 and a couple 2x4's. Fastened all pieces with screws and gorilla glue. Wired a start/stop switch to the motor. I connected a drill chuck to the 1/2" motor shaft so that wire wheels can be changed out easily. I used a 4" brass brush and surrounded the whole thing with a Rubbermade tote. Total cost $36.00.
The motor and switch was given to me!

Wow, thanks for this. I was having a hard time parting with $200 for a flesher (been using the old stand-by nylon-bristled brush). This I can probably afford! (At least until I make it in the Big Bad Taxi world, haha!) Thanks

Hey nice looking flesher.  I made me one using a small air sander that will except those wire brush you can get for a drill.  Just adjust the air pressure for speed and power.  Took a 1x12 and drilled a 1 1/4" hole with a paddle bit and the sander fit right in.  I'll try to post some pics if you what.
