A venti caffe' mocha vodka valium latte to go plz

« on: January 25, 2007, 09:55:34 PM »

After 2 weeks of ripping my hair out and slicing my fingers to ribbons I finally got "Bob" put together Grin. Obviously no finish work has been done on him yet,  He's still wet and bagged waiting for helpful hints to make him better.   I wanted to say thanks to the whole forum for all the great past info.  It's been a lifesaver.  Any ideas for improvement greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Rebecca

Not what you would see on a harley, My wife knows better than to mess with mine. Just some humor. Good job on the cat. Probally one of the hardest to work on,He seems relaxed and natural.

Looks good. The only suggestion I could make is to brush and fluff the face. If you look at reference, bobcats have a face shield, where all the hair creates a plate like appearance. Other than than, look good.

We do not prize the word cheap. It is not a badge of honor. It is a sign of despair. Cheap prices make cheap goods. Cheap good make cheap men. Cheap men make a cheap country.

I love that form!!  Like Greg said, groom the cheeks out a little more, fluff him up.  Otherwise, he's adorable!!  Cool  good job!!

Thanks for the tips and encouragement!  As for the Harley,  it was a subtle attempt to convince my father to move the bike out of my workroom   Wink  I noticed in the pic his hair was pretty flattened from moving him around for photos so I fluffed him back up, but he was a Ga cat I found dead back the first of Nov. so his coat is on the thin side to begin with.  In one of my many redneck moments I tossed him in the back of the truck and decided to have him mounted for the kids, we see where that led me  Grin  Now it's on to casting a branch for him......
Thanks again!!

Hope you dont mind, I turned the lights on a bit. Nice job on your 1st cat. In the pic it appears the paws may be over-filled a bit and definately adjust the mane in the face. Re-groom everyday until dry. Cats are one of the hardest and you pulled it off nicely for your 1st.

The mount looks good!  One thing that helped me to improve my taxidermy was to join my State Association and enter competitions.  Good Luck!!!

Cat looks good, in that brightened up pic it kinda looks like his right eyes might be over towards his nose too far.  Cant really tell though its still kinda dark.  Fluff him up good like the other said and hes darn good for yuor first cat.  One thing I would NOT have done though, the Habitat work is going to cost WAYYYYYYY too much for this mount, keep the habitat simple or it takes away from the mount (HAHA j/k) good mount keep it up.
