Finally getting around to posting some works... usually I'm late with my commissions so I don't even take time to photograph them - just deliver to the client.

I did these 2 drawings this week. The pheasant is one that was requested by my employer, the SD Game, Fish and Parks - it is going to be used for the cover of a habitat and public lands book. The lab drawing was commissioned.

This bufflehead is a quick painting I did for a duck stamp entry... has to be sent off next week. The photo came out terrible, the painting actually has a much warmer coloring to it and this pic isn't all that sharp.

Now its time to start my federal duck stamp entry, not due for a month but i'm extremely busy

Trust me Bailey, your work is good enough to enter (you too Nina)! Most stamps are painted in a very tight; photo-realistic style. Your style would work really good for the Wyoming Habitat Stamp - they tend to like the looser paintings more. One of my childhood idol's was Dave Wade and he has won that stamp a few times. (He paints loose oils - and still is one of my idols)

And you should try entering a few, I only enter them when I have plenty of time - but they are fun and they force you to work a bit harder on every painting.
