You just don't find these good tips in the ol' "how to manuels"...It seem like everything written about taxidermy that is in print or video is from the mullet days. So many little things left out...Thanks for sharing Wingman!

I tried this method this morning on a turkey. I was surprised that I got all the way to the wrist. I applied a lot of sawdust, and kept pulling with forceps. Turned out neat. I suspended the wing from the ceiling,(tying the knob to a hook in the ceiling), and worked my way down.

I use this method for most of my sitting/standing birds. makes positioning the and grooming much easier.

How do you secure your wire to that section? And do you still rebuild the muscle u took out?

I use a short piece of wire secured to the humorous with string or tyewrap and run it through the body as with a flying mount. you can use some polly fill or cotton batting to replace some of the muscle. The wire gives you a little more control on wing position
