   With all i read on here about getting in trouble with ducks, I just want to make sure its leagal for my cousin in south Carolina to send me some of his wild ducks he shot this season. so i can mount them and keep them for my self.

They can legally be gifted to you. As far as mounting them without a federal license...I don't see why you can't as long as you log them in as your own private specimens with the taker's name and relative information(date taken, place taken, etc.) and a note that states they were gifted to you "signed" by your cousin. Once they are mounted for your personal collection I don't think you are required to keep that information on file.

I sure am no authority on it though.
