Just went through this with mine,I cut halfmoon pieces of deerhide(about 3") punch 2 small holes in it to attach your D ring,pink the edges and hotglue right on the felt.I got this idea from a friend of mine who is a judge and a master taxidermist.Hope this helps... ~Rich
