Can anyone suggest a really good fish school to attend.  Would also like to try my hand at fish carving.

Thanks,
Fred

Fred, I agree with everything said above. Do yourself a favor, call Rick Krane and talk to him about taking one of his one on one classes. My class was the best money I have spent.

I will echo everyone`s comments . If you want to learn fish taxidermy , call Rick Krane . He`s the best and he cares that you learn . He will make sure you get the knowledge you want and paid for . If you are willing to work hard , you will be successful . He will not forget you ,when you leave , like some other instructors. He will always be there for you, if you need help or encouragement . If you call him and he isn`t in , he will call you back . He will become your friend , not just an instructor . He has a real gift for teaching . He`s also a heck of a guy. He`s even a pretty fair fisherman . LOL  Seriously , it will be money well spent .

I would train under as many people as you can. I am sure Rick would agree with that.

Gary Bruch would also be a good choice.

On 8/22/09, Attened Bill Yox's studio and shop for a one (amazing) day of training, the live photo's I took worth at least $150, the rest worth every penny of experience from Bill. Some things I picked up I don't think I ever would of thought of, finish detailing like Mastercard says' PRICELESS!!! I wanted to be better, and the time and price was right!
