KARMA GOOSE R.I.P. 2006-2006

WWW
« on: August 21, 2009, 12:28:45 AM »

This is in regards to our effort to provide advanced learning instruction for selected taxidermists.  Part of a pm body from Bobbi is quoted below.

“Bill and I have talked, and since he is booked up this season, we thought it would be best to get together sometime next spring.  Bill is worried that now the deer are getting hard antlered that getting into the pen with them could possibly be risky for me and he wouldn't want to see me get hurt.

If the other two candidates would want to go ahead this fall, they can take the first scholarship if it would work out for them.

I'm not sure who either one of them would like to have as a teacher, or if that teacher would even be available.
Let me know!!”

NOW, how about some help and suggestion getting this one back on track?

Bobbi is still going to be our treasurer for the scholarship fund.  I have kept everything public knowledge as far as anything pertaining to the auctions.  I do not want this program being back burnered.  As soon as funds are available, I want us to be sending someone off to deer camp.  I don’t want to be starting another auction to raise money while we already have the money in place and ready to go to work.

Todd B is the next in line, and he had decided on Yox for an instructor.

Let’s hear thoughts from others on this subject and make something happen.

I am still in a rehab facility and working with a borrowed computer that I can't keep a connection with.  If I don't give a prompt response, the lack of connection will most likely be the cause.

Glenn This is just a thought but why not have the taxidermist  contribute something like pay for travel and lodging, That way the schoolarship can help many more people, After all most schoolarships don't pay for everything

Thanks to all that have given so far. Several people will benefit from this and really appreciate the generosity of those who have donated items and those who have bid on them!!
thanks everybody.

Any donations can be sent to

I have a savings account set up specifically for the funds so there is no confusion as to how much money has actually been deposited for all those nominated for the scholarships.

As soon as I get home, I can put the totals of what I have deposited on here.

Has anyone heard from Becky as to who she wants as a teacher/mentor?

I think it has to do with the combination of the economy and reaching out to others in more financial stress. Maybe things will pick up by next spring.

I agree mimes.
Lets take care of our brothers and sisters who are really having a hard time of things, then hopefully things will settle down for all those concerned.
I don't want to see ANYBODY without electricity, gas, food etc...etc...

I've dug around the house and have some of my amateurish paintings that I could sell, just not sure anybody would want something that looks like it was painted by a 9 year old!!! LOL

Just saw this thread. I'll pick John Griffith, he's a little closer. I don't know about that flying thing though.

Hubby and a friend have been talking about going hunting in Kentucky (friend's parents live there). If it could be scheduled at the same time (depending on John's location and their planned hunting location), then we could split travel expenses (out of our pocket NOT the fund) and all I'd need from the fund would be for John to be paid. Of course that would also depend on if John would have time during hunting season.

Thanks Wink

Before I go any further, let me reiterate the purpose of this fund.

It is put into place to help push a good taxidermist over the hump to  make them better yet.

There are already a number of categories in this forum that offer diversity, including taking donations for those in dire need.
