There's a book dating to about 1968 that is about pet ocelots.  "An Ocelot in Your Home" gives all kinds of tips on raising and training pet ocelots at a time when they were legal, pre 1973.  Margays are also mentioned.  There are tons of excellent reference pix of various specimens.

Yes, the book has some excellent ref photos of ocelots and margays.  It also has a couple of other pix - leopard, bobcat.  I was a teenager when a number of the surrounding farms had pet ocelots and margays.  Most were walked on leashes after dark when they were more confident and secure.
