A couple of weeks ago I posted African crap- Gemsbok ( brisket full of holes and how I repair them with out stitching)
http://www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php/topic,172845.msg1210426.html#msg1210426

I was asked to do a tutorial on the next one , not a Gemsbok but it's the same process.

This Zebra had a hole behind the corner of the mouth, from shaving/the tanner. It was paper thin and would not hold a stitch so like with other African crap this is how I repair them fast.

- mount as you normally would
- over lap the bad area
- cut through both layers of hide and into the form with a razor blade
- tuck both sides into the slot made by the razor
