well  i always thought it was cheasy,  but for habitat work,  thats all ive been using lately!!!!!!    Stuff is GGGREAT  for that,  handy to use     ECONOMICAL    and quick and asy    !! Shocked  I just take a stout ruffer to the surfaca after it kicks,  and slop on the habitat mud!!!    3.95 a can     and one can  can do   two  coyote sized bases  easily   !!!

havent had a prob with it    especially afte its covered in hab mix....  its equal to the softer foam formulas they sell for fish bodies   ..

I've used the stuff for alterations too with some sucess. I used the type in the black can and learned that it is less dense than the type in the red can...thus my raccoon that needed a few inches added now looks like an hourglass because the skin shrunk and the foam was too weak. Lesson learned! While I wouldn't use it again for an alteration like that, I will continue to use the red can for small alterations and blend the seams with something non-shrinking like critter clay or apoxie sculpt.

it makes great little round polished stones for underwater scenes spray a dab let it grow in a ball the size you want and spray it with a water bottle when you want it to stop growing   LOL   Only ever used it  ( other than some early experiements in my taxidermy career LOL )  for work under glass .

I have used it for alterations too but I use bondo to smooth out the seems. I have also toyed around with it for filling any empty cavities in striper heads to keep skin shrinkage to a minimum.
